About the Role:
The University of Oxford invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant position focused on Chemical/Cell Biology and Antimicrobial Resistance. The position is funded by the Ineos Oxford Institute (IOI) and will be conducted in collaboration with the Centre for Medicines Discovery (CMD), the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, and the IOI.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct biochemical, cellular, and chemical biology assays to identify and validate small-molecule ligands.
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and prepare findings for publications and presentations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across departments to progress the research project.
- Provide guidance to PhD and project students in the research group.
- Manage administrative and academic activities independently, including project management.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Ph.D./D.Phil. (or near completion) in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, or Chemical Biology.
- Experience:
- Expertise in biochemistry, microbiology, and/or chemical biology.
- Knowledge of inhibitor screening, protein construct design, and cloning.
- Advantageous experience in antibiotic drug discovery, assay automation, and peptide synthesis.
- Skills: Proven ability to manage and execute experiments, analyze data, and write publications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in interdisciplinary teams.
