🔬 About the Research Project
The Microenvironments for Medicine Group at IBEC focuses on developing advanced biomaterials for tissue engineering and mechanobiology. This postdoctoral project will involve:
✅ Designing and synthesizing dynamic hydrogels with light-tunable or DNA-based properties
✅ Characterizing the structural and mechanical properties of biomaterials
✅ Exploring cellular mechanotransduction in 3D microenvironments
✅ Working at the interface of chemistry, biology, and bioengineering
✅ Collaborating with international researchers to translate findings into applications

🎓 Who Should Apply?
Eligibility Criteria:
✔️ PhD in Chemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field
✔️ Expertise in polymer chemistry and hydrogel synthesis
✔️ Proficiency in advanced material characterization techniques (e.g., AFM, rheology, nanoindentation)
✔️ Strong background in bioengineering and biomaterials
✔️ Fluency in English (spoken & written)
Preferred Skills (Meritorious):
🔹 Knowledge of cell culture techniques and mechanotransduction studies
🔹 Experience with analytical chemistry and organic synthesis
🔹 Strong publication record in high-impact journals
🔹 Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research team
