The Center for Neurogenetics at UTHealth Houston, located in the heart of Texas Medical Center, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Research & Data Analysis
- Analyze large-scale genomic, molecular, and clinical datasets to uncover insights into neurological disorders, focusing on genotype-phenotype relationships.
- Develop and implement computational methods to integrate and interpret complex biological data.
- Tool & Resource Development
- Enhance or create bioinformatic tools to support the research community.
- Develop and optimize genomic data processing pipelines, ensuring reproducibility and scalability.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including neurologists, genetic counselors, patients, and other scientists.
- Lead independent research projects and contribute to team publications. Present findings at conferences to share your discoveries.
- Technical Skill Development
- Strengthen your expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology through hands-on project work and training.
- Stay updated on advances in genomic technologies and bioinformatic methods, enhancing your skills.
- Publication & Presentation
- Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications
