Duration: Up to 36 months (starting 1 April 2025)

About the Role
The University of Oxford is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Professor Darren Dixon’s group. This project, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, focuses on developing an innovative visible-light-mediated approach for cross-coupling alcohols to form carbon-carbon bonds.

You will explore reaction discovery, methodology development, and target synthesis—bringing creativity and problem-solving skills to the forefront of organic chemistry research.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:

  • A PhD in Organic Chemistry (or near completion).
  • Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry across various scales and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • The ability to design experiments, analyze data, and develop new protocols.

You will manage your academic research independently while collaborating with the broader team.
